Yes. In fact, this is generally the preferred method. You can, of course, prepare your files interactively in QuarkXPress using the Autopage XTension palette. Autopage integrates with Xtags, an extension of XPress Tags with powerful features for automatic document construction. Further, you can run Xtags (to construct your document) at the same time as paginating your file. Autopage allows for each part of the process to run separately, if desired. In addition to document creation, Autopage integrates with XMLxt for a complete web/print production cycle.
